Help a widow reconstruct the collapsed roof of her house!

With her husband’s passing in early 2003 she was rendered destitute. Her marital abode is currently in disrepair. The roofs of the bedroom, front entrance, kitchen, and toilet have collapsed completely, and the crumbled walls will collapse any moment. On many occasions, she has escaped death/injury by the grace of God. She does not have permanent employment and most of the time barely manages to have just one meal a day. She suffered 2 heart attacks recently and also has other health conditions. With the high medical expenses, it is impossible for her to even think of attending to the repairs of the house, and she is hopeful that God will raise some persons who will be interested in helping her, so that the evening of her life could be pleasant and peaceful.

SHer husband passed away in March 2003 and since then she was rendered a destitute. The house she lives in is in her husband’s name and she does not have any options to either sell or keep it as collateral for a loan as she is not the rightful owner. Her in-laws refused to sign and hand over ownership to her on her husband’s death. Furthermore, all her earnings and savings were spent on her younger sister who was suffering from a terminal illness. Her house, which is currently in disrepair, has collapsed in many sections. While the roof in her bedroom, front entrance, kitchen, and toilet has collapsed completely, other sections of the roof have caved in and will collapse at any moment. Also, the walls are crumbled due to dampness and may dislodge from the foundations and crash which is a great cause of worry and danger to her life as well.

The house becomes inundated with water during the rainy season (even a slight drizzle) and her clothing and personal items become mildewed, causing a musty odor to fill the house.

She is facing much hardship for her day to day living as she does not have permanent employment and most of the time barely manages to have just one meal a day. She is suffering from some illnesses as well had has to spend considerable amounts for her medications. With all these expenses, it was impossible for her to attend to these repairs over the years by herself which resulted in this dilapidation. We are hopeful that we will be able reach out to many concerned persons who have a widow’s interest at heart and whilst praying that for God to provide the needed funds, appeal for contributions towards this repair so that at least in the evening of her life, she could live in a decent shelter with peace of mind.
