Hello, my name is Dush Ratnayake, chef and owner of Bellissima desserts. Some of you may have already tried some of our desserts and hopefully liked it ☺. Our primary objective at Bellissima is to create a local dessert brand that can enter the global dessert market, carrying the Sri Lankan identity with pride. Bellissima is optimally positioned to achieve just this, with our reinterpretation of traditional Sri Lankan Biscuit Pudding; built on our coveted secret recipes and chic branding.

For this dream to come true we need your support to build our first dessert store! This is how you can help. We are launching our first store at the iconic Hatch Colombo in Fort and need additional funding to see this project through. The store will feature our current biscuit pudding range as well as other new additions. Even if 1,000 of you generous and lovely people contribute LKR 1,000 it will enable us to achieve our target of LKR 1M to generate the required funding. I have run Bellissima for 7+ years. During this time I experimented and developed exciting new flavours for the basic chocolate biscuit pudding (a nostalgic favourite of Sri Lankans). One important solution Bellissima needed to figure out was how best to get these puddings across to you. The answer came in the form of our trendy, eco-friendly, reusable, glass jars sold through Uber Eats and hand-selected restaurant partners.

We consider ourselves culinary ambassadors and our vision is to take this newly revamped Sri Lankan favourite out to the world.

Our signature dessert is the revolutionary Arrack Chocolate Biscuit Pudding which embraces our iconic Sri Lankan coconut spirit. We were also the first to conceptualize this combination amongst our other popular flavours such as White Chocolate Raspberry, Orange Arrack, Mint Chocolate, Sri Lankan Milk Coffee and Salted Caramel.

We want you to be able to experience our brand better with a place to visit and meet us and enjoy our creations.
