Serve with Smile Organization is committed to enhancing the quality of life for low-income families in Mahavilachchi area, Anuradhapura District, Sri Lanka. Mahavilachchi Village is an impoverished rural area where the main livelihood is farming. The majority of the population, around 20,000 people, live below the subsistence level, with limited access to adequate sanitation facilities. In this project, we aim to construct 100 toilets by the end of 2025, starting with 20 toilets for the neediest families. Each toilet costs Rs. 153,700, making the total budget for this first phase of constructing 20 toilets are Rs. 3,074,000. This project addresses critical health, dignity, and environmental concerns caused by inadequate sanitation in the community. By supporting this project, donors will directly impact the lives of families in Mahavilachchi town by providing them with access to safe and hygienic sanitation facilities. This initiative not only addresses a fundamental human right but also promotes health, dignity, and community well-being. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in Mahavilachchi town.

The initial phase requires Rs. 3,074,000 to build 20 toilets. Below is the cost breakdown for one toilet.

Serve with Smile Organization is a small group of around 25 dedicated individuals, primarily retired personnel, who are committed to community service. Our focus is on improving the living conditions of underprivileged communities in Sri Lanka. With a history of successful initiatives, this project in Mahavilachchi is a continuation of our commitment to creating healthier and safer environments for those in need

• Week 01 – 03: Identification and selection of the first 20 families.
• Week 04 – 06: Procurement of materials.
• Week 07 – 09: Construction begins.
• Week 10 – 12: Completion and handover of the toilets to the families.
