School food programs around the country reduce hunger, prevent malnutrition, and provide essential nutrition so children can continue their education uninterrupted.
Amidst the current challenging circumstances faced by our nation, Keells has partnered with Sarvodaya to launch the project “A Nutritious Tomorrow For Our Little Ones” which will focus on setting up community kitchens in selected pre-schools with the goal of providing a nutritious meal for up-to 1000 children (between the ages of 2.5 to 5 years) across a span of several months. A mini garden plot will also be set up where possible, in the same school to build a connection with nutrition and the environment among the children.
Our Goal – 1000 pre-school

• Our community implementation partner will set up community kitchens in selected locations and with the support of parents and local communities, ensure that the children that attend a chosen Child Development Center/Montessori are provided a healthy meal on all 5 days of the pre-school week in accordance with the guidelines provided by the authorities.
